About the event
Kara Welch is a passionate librarian, writer and yogi dedicated to the transformative power of the written word and the freedom it can provide. With a compassionate approach and a deep belief in the healing potential of journal writing, Kara encourages others to explore this practice. Her mindset is that writing does not need to be difficult or time consuming, as it is truly a path towards further self-discovery and an improved emotional well-being. As a member of the Transformative Language Arts Network, Kara participates in classes and workshops alongside other creatives and is currently working towards a certification in workshop facilitation. She is also a RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certified Yoga teacher and certified teacher librarian.
During a writing workshop, Kara combines breathwork, meditation and movement in order to open the mind and body to writing. Participants will gain actionable steps and suggestions for continuing a journal writing practice of their own. Kara looks forward to being a part of your wellness journey!
